| Humping & Nipping Does any of your Yorkies hump a toy or anything~? After mine does and if I get anywhere near him he's nipping at me, like the ends of my pants or shoes. I am not going to take his toy away or do anything, but he gets very out of control for a short period of time. Does anyone else experience this~? Any reasons that he would do this~? How do you deal with it~? I left him for a couple hours and he's fine now. |

| When mine humps I smack my hands together or tell him "NO" in a firm voice. Then I call him over to me and change his mind about it...hes really bad about humping my other dog, but not where he should, just on her head or leg...the little weirdo! But anytime he gets nippy I tell him no, and then put my finger on his nose. He hasnt done it since he was a puppy and I made sure to stop that habit before it got bad.

Anyways, my Vet told me "not to let him hump" and take his toy away. I have and it doesn't work cause he finds another one. | ||

| Maybe you should get him fixed. I dont want to be a pusher, because I hate when people tell me I need to...but if hes really bad about humping and borderline aggressive then you should seriously think about it. Mine will stop and is easily distracted when I pick him up or offer a chew toy. And after the puppy phase he doesnt really bite, unless hes playing.

| Troy isn't much of a humper. However when he is excited, he will nip. A firm no will stop it though. I know that the nipping isn't intended to harm but it's in play.

Jackson has a few fav humpy toys - I don't really care, it doesn't bother me. He never does it to other dogs, or people, and he never gets nippy with me. He only does it typically when he's over excited and he goes over and starts humping... lol...

| Huey has been fixed, but he has one "special friend", his raccoon. This video is hilarious, but be forwarned, we call it "Huey's porno" Huey and his "special friend" the raccoon - YouTube
