Your right about getting the OP's puppy carefully checked out. There are so many things that can be wrong. Sometimes they sneak up on you. Vets that are not aware of Yorkie problems might not do the right tests without someone leading them in the right direction. | |

| I can tell you from experience that illnesses can creep up on you with these guys. Trust your gut and try to get him in sooner rather than later. If nothing is wrong you are going to have everyone on hear jealous because they can't cuddle with him! Hugs L |

| Awwww.... He's Soooo CUTE!!!! My Riley is a laid back, pretty quiet boy... Never gets into anything. I am always amazed how unbelievably well behaved he is even when I take him places. My Friends actually get upset with me if I don't bring him with me. LOL!! Keep us posted!! |

| Kyra is a laid back yorkie....She would play with Laddy but when we first got her and he refused to play with her she slept alot and played very little. She did have coccidia when we first got her though and not sure if that was why or not but she is still a very laid back little girl.

| Well I spoke with the breeder and she said that he was very playful while inher care?? Anyway, she suggested I give some Karo syrup incase he might have low blood sugar... well i did that and it made no difference in his energy level. She also said that he might have coccidia. I will take him to the vet to have that checked. I would have thought if he had coccidia that they would have seen it when they did a stool sample 3 weeks ago ... he almost acts like hes depressed?? He doesnt get excited about anything... Hopefully I will find out something this week. |

| I saw no signs of it in Kyra either but the vet found it in her stool sample. If there has been a change in the home they can get depressed also. When we were packing up for our move both of ours got that way.

| Well, I took little chewy to the vet and everything checked out ok. In fact..he has not had any diarrhea for 3 days. Vet says to just give him a probiotic to help his system. As far as the "laziness" goes, guess hes just gonna be a laid back puppy. I can deal with that as long as he is healthy. He was practically doing cartwheels at the vet. That is the most excited I have seen him in a while... silly dog |

| Maybe he does get worn out if he carries on when you leave. How long is he left alone for? If he is alone for long periods maybe he is a little depressed...You might need to get someone to come check in on him every few hours. Did you ever have a lazy day where you slept in, then watched football and fell asleep, and the more you rested the more tired you got? Maybe that is going on also... |

| He is only left alone 3-4 hours at a time. I come home for an hour for lunch and then go back to work. He has alot of separation anxiety. I thought that after doing this routine for 4 weeks now, he would get a little use to it, but he has not. |
