| Happy 2013 From Oliver and I!! Need some advice Happy New Year to all my Yorkie Talk friends!! I can't believe it has been so long since I have been on here. Oliver is doing great... once we found the right vet and groomer his skin/paw issues have made MAJOR improvements!! Love my little guy. I thought I would reach out for a little advice. Unfortunately my neighbor deciced to get a minature pincher from purebreeders.com. When I heard this I was devistated. After rescuing Oliver and learning about puppy mills from this sight it just made me so sad. The story gets worse... the poor little guy never survived the flight to Myrtle Beach. They said he was 10 weeks and 2 lbs. She paid $1900 for him which has already been charged to her account. Now the "Breeder" won't return the call. Just a disaster. I've tried to educate her on puppy mills etc. However where does she go from here?? Any advice is appreciated!! Thanks! Karla and Oliver

| does she have receipts and paperwork that says what the money was for? Documentation of how/when the pup died? If so and if it were me (thank goodness it wouldn't be but...), I would be seeking legal counsel and go from there at this point.

| Absolutely. If she has documentation, she has a case. She can first call her credit card company/bank (if on a debit card) and claim fraud. Because companies see animals as product, she "did not receive the product she 'ordered'". Then she can file a claim. If you or she knows any lawyers, have them send the woman a certified letter. This will usually scare someone into returning the money. If there is still no response, then she can go to a specialized lawyer or go to court.

| Glad to hear Oliver is doing well. I am sorry to hear of your friend's puppy dying in flight. I agree with Brezofleur, tell her to contact her credit card company and initiate a "chargeback."
