| Milo not feeling good I took Milo for his one year check up and shots today and he is not feeling good. I was going to give him a bath because we are having company but I will wait. He has been shaking ever since we been home. I don't know if he is cold or still nervous from the vet. Kinda worried about having company because he not feeling good.

| Maggie was sore after her shots this year and last. She was tired and shaky. Last year she seemed tomhhave pain at the injection site. She is 2 1/2. The vet let me give her 1/2 of a children's (baby) aspirin. You know the orange flavored st Joseph stuff? It really helper her feel better. You should ask your vet if you can, but I would feel pretty safe about it if you can't reach them. Hindsight being 20/20.... Don't get shots on a Friday or the day before a holiday! You could probably find other thread son the after shot subject. Good luck. Happy new year. Ps. Skip the bath, unless He likes them and keep him warm if you do. He probably doesn't feel well, so he may not be himself with your guests. |

| Yeah, he's probably just a little sore from it. Poor little guy. I definitely would pass on the bath until he's feeling better.

| I called the vet and she said to give him 1tsp. Benadryl. She said it sounds like a reaction to the shot and if he's not better then she would meet me and look at him.

| Milo is feeling better. He settled down after the Benadryl. I was really worried but he is good now. He made it through the company too. I feel so bad that he had to have his check up today but I know he needed it.

| I hope your little guy is alright. Sometimes a dog can have an allergic reaction to shots. Did you have many done all at once? With a small breed puppy it is sometimes best to break them up and not do all at one time. If it was an allergic reaction he may still need more Benadryl. If so call the vet again. |

| I thought Milo was all better last night but today he is shaking again and he is really sore. I can't even pick him up. He don't even want to lay down. I called the vet back and she said give him a baby aspirin and more Benadryl. I hope it makes him feel better soon or I am going to take him in.

| Aspirin is still okay for your dog. Just not the first choice. When at home and there isn't anything else it is a good choice. |

| My vet said it messes up there tummys and something about giving to much happens a lot and there blood gets to thin. We had a lab years and years ago and the vet told us how much aspirin to give her for arthritis and we did and when I woke up the next morning there was blood all over my comforter because she had gotten a nose bleed. It was scary. I will not give any to Callie and my vet does not recommend it at all.
