To those of you who use the pawz boots... are they slippery when your puppy walks in them? Or do they have good traction? Just wondering. Thanks.

| I want to share a caution my vet gave me about using Pawz boots (or similiar completely plastic/rubber boots), after I first bought ZoE some last winter. He said they are fine for short term use, where you salt the walkways outside, yet your dog needs to walk on them to get out to go potty, but he doesn't recommend them for long-term use in extremely cold temperatures. He said dogs sweat through their paws, and the rubber holds the sweat in & it freezes, making the dogs paw colder than it would be without them. And that for long outings in very cold temperatures, you're are better with a boot with a lining that wicks moisture away from the paw pads.

Thanks for the info. I'll take that into consideration before purchasing them for this cold weather.

After posting the video last night and hearing the positive feedback I was dying to try it myself. I had to search around for a little larger bottle as Wallee 's feet are 2 inches. The boots went on like a charm. Getting them back off was a struggle though. Do those of you who tried it find them hard to get off? I hope the ones I bought are the right size. From the measurement I got it appears his foot is 2 inches. I got him extra small which says up to 2 inches. The smalls say 2-2.5. Any suggestions?

I had some trouble getting a hold of the top. Since it was my first try I think maybe they were a little rolled. Tomorrow when I try I am going to try to slip a swizzle stick between them and his foot. He is pretty fuzzy on his legs and I kept pulling his hair which of course he protested about.

And if you have bigger paws there is those 2 1/2 liter bottles or the inexpensive soda with the larger mouths
