To some people $6,000 is a new purse or two. Compare that to a yorkie that you'll have for years & years, and the "expensive" yorkie seems like one heck of a bargain.

I do not know about you but if I am shelling out that kind of funds for ANYTHING even if it was surgery to save my life I still am going to do some research... Does this Dr know what in the heck he is doing... Does he have the proper schooling, can I see other patients and speak with them about their experience, does this man actually deserve $6,000 for this surgery when another man can do it for $3,000??? So maybe in this case it goes back to the old phrase my grandmother used to tell me.. A Fool and His Money Are Soon Parted!! Do I have the ability to spend $6,000 on a puppy, to be honest yes I am lucky enough to afford such things... Did I? Hell NO.... I found a loving couple that has the third and last litter with their boy and girl both AKC one of the very first things the man asked was "Are you looking for a teacup?" I said no and he replied good because there is no such thing and if that is what I wanted he could not and would not help me!! I had to pretty much pass a test and show proof I knew the breed and had no intentions of breeding and that my home was a good safe place for the puppy. I was given contacts of other owners to speak with... With to the couples home met mom and dad saw the puppies watching TV with the couple, saw all the framed pictures hanging in their home of the puppies from the past two litters. And yet I only spent $550... Well throw in an extra $50 for the gas. So are they stupid no.... Are they not so intelligent with their money and odds are will be the people that think yorkies are cute little purse dogs that just lay around looking cute so when this puppy throws into hyper talking back teenage personality it is either locked in a crate for hours on end or given away... Not saying that is always the case but you get my point
