| When Callie had surgery and they gave me a pain pill that she will not take I told them and they gave me a pill shooter. It does not shoot the pill it just drops it down there throat and doesn't hurt them or anything as long as you get the one with the rubber tip. This is the only way I can get pills in her because she will not eat around a pill if it is in anything and will spit it out and shes got the best gag reflex and is so stubborn she absolutely will not swallow it if you put it in the back of her mouth and hold her mouth closed and tilt her head back and blow on her nose or rub her throat. If she is sleeping a lot and not eating and your vet doesn't know what is wrong I think its time to try a new vet.

| she really don't like the canned food like she did when she was a puppy. and she didn't like the food that they give her that would make it easer on her tummy either. we think that she had to get up and move more where she would want to eat something. and now she is taking the pills with the chesse like she use to. for how long we don't know but we are just happy she doing the pills for now and not fighting us like she does with that meds for the ears. we are trying to give that to her but she just fight us. but do get a little in there we think. I can't remember what its call or spell it right off hand either. |

| Definitely use the pill pockets for our two furrbutts. Never have an issue with dispensing meds to them with the Greenie pill pockets.

| My vet said she tricks her dogs by saying "Special treat?!" really excitedly and giving them treats. Then she discovered one day that she can trick her animals into eating anything (including pills) by saying "Special treat?!" and giving them the pill...(and laughing ... haha you just ate a pill!)

| Thankfully Elvis takes his pills in cheese and now just straight readily. Scoobers is awful though! He will nearly swallow it then work the pill out if anything and spit it out. Literally we tried everything! Its brutal but the vet has everything made into liquid for us now and I have learned to hook my fingers around his k-9 teeth hold his neck up and use a needless syringe to drop it in. Even this was hard at first because sometimes he spits the liquid back at me-who knew a dog could hold their breath in a calculated manner? But this way at least I can measure what he does intake and make sure he gets his dosage. Scoobers now knows he gets actual good treats if he takes his meds, this has helped immensely. Poor guy has been on more meds in the last few years than any dog with no chronic condition ever should be! Elvis takes multiple meds several times a day-I imagine it being so routine helped the most with him just taking a pill right from my hand plain.
