It's just sad that my other dog's routine has to be modified in the mornings when she so cherishes it. It turns out my "Boo" (that's his name...), is a gobbling cookie monster in the mornings so no matter what goes into his tummy it arrives in it's full form..as NO CHEWING is done! So, clearly I have to give this boy MUSH lol. Putting them in separate rooms for a quick treat isn't my idea of welcoming this boy into my life...so much as welcoming myself into HIS and it doesn't work that way. Majority rules even for canines in this house. So, I have to make it work by training. Oh well. It's ok..I'm ready for this challenge lol. There is no danger in either of their lives if they eat in the same room, which is the ONLY reason I'd feed them (their breakfast or dinner) apart. No one's fighting. I appreciate your help... Taste of the Wild has puppy kibble. Its higher in protein if you want your boy to have a protein boost, then dog formula, and it's very small kibble so swallowing it whole is ok. Maybe you can switch him to that, or give it as a treat. My boys love it!

Thanks, that's also a good idea. I realize that it's not necessary to give a boost of protein, it's just that these Duck Tenders are something my female has enjoyed for years and years. It's part of our morning routine whereupon I make coffee and then offer some Tenders while I go on line and have me time till I'm ready to start the day. It's what she's used to...however I have solved the issue by giving my old girl her Tenders and my yorkie a 2 inch carrot piece. He's a wild animal about all foods, seems he might never have gotten people food when he was living with his previous owner. He loves his carrot and my girl is still getting her Tenders...so PROBLEM SOLVED and all is well in this world.
