this is a very safe disenfectant... it does not smell all that pleasant but it is non toxic ....

and once it dries, it will get rid of all odors. I use it for accidents on my carpet too

Yes, I use it exclusively ......after my parvo event (?? 8 ?) years ago, I wash everything down with this stuff and it can be used even on their bowls...that is the only thing I do not do, is wash eating/drinking bowls with it. I mix up different amounts...I have it in spray bottles for daily cleaning out trays....and for spraying on my throw rugs in my foyer for my new owners to walk on when they enter the house to look at their baby. I have it in a large sprayer for the yard /patio area. Once a week, I take all crates out into the yard and spray down the entire wire crate surface and allow them to air dry....once a month, the walls and floors and counter tops are all sprayed and allowed to dry. It is perfectly safe around the dogs, and you do not rinse it off, you allow it to dry on the surfaces....makes it a whole lot easier to spray those wire crates and allow them to dry, than wiping them down, trying to make sure to hit all surface areas! You just dont let babies walk in WET, PUDDLED areas. We also wash trays with a Wishy-Washy power spray system, paper towel dried, followed by a misting with the Virkon. It sounds like a whole lot of time and work, but it isnt....goes real fast. I did get doing the laundry in Virkon from YOU, Carmen! Check out the Wishy-Wash system Carmen, and forget the bleach! Kills odors NOT by masking with perfume smell but by complete disinfecting.

I mix Virkon up, put it in diffewrent applicators for all over the house, dog crates and kennels, and yard and patio area. Perfectly safe for dogs....I spray all my wire crates down weekly and let them air dry...clean crate pans of course daily, line them up outside in the "wash area', spray them spotless with Wishy-Wash high pressure cleaning system, wipe them dry with a paper towel, mist with the Virkon, allow them to air dry....safe for our babies....you just dont want them walking around in puddles of it! Then once a month, the entire "dog room" is washed down, floor and walls and counter tops and fridge along with the crates, with Virkon, and allowed to air dry. I started using it in the wash when I do bedding...got that from you Carmen...dont know why THAT never occured to me! This sounds like a lot of work and a lot of time, but it goes so much faster than wiping down all surfaces with a rag and bleach solution, letting it sit for the required amount of time to do any good, then rinsing all the surfaces....and the area is nutral smel;ling, not all masked with perfume smelling deodorizers, because the stuff I use kills all bacteria and fungi and virals on contack, so there is nothing to create smell. I usually like to pass a mop over my floors with Fabuloso, just because I LOVE the way that purple stuff smells!....but that is strictly for me! Carmen, as well as any breeders out there, check out the Wishy-Wash system for kennels...it is REALLY all it is cracked up to be! I AM SORRY...I CHECKED TO SEE IF THE POST ABOVE HAD BEEN POSTED AND IT HAD NOT, SO I RE-WROTE THIS ONE....KINDA A DOUBLE POST!.

When you use it on your carpet do you have to steam it up? I dont have a steamer but really want to try it on my carpet

Wonderful, I have to check that system out.. that how I discovered Virkon was because my son works at the Vet clinic and I the vet told me to use it in my laundry, so I started using it in the laundry and then it moved to the floors ... I love that stuff..LOL
