| Ally and Buddy had their dental appointment last year and I remember it very clearly not knowing what to expect, but alas they both came out safe and sound with clean pearly whites .We will be thinking or Tibbie today! Sending prayers your way. |

| He's awake! He's awake! He did fine, they said. I heard about an hour ago while my neighbor and her son were here. They just left so I had to get on YT and let you know. He was the last one to get done as we were last arriving. Whew!!!! I feel like a balloon with the air let out and pumped back in again! So relieved he made it through another year of the anesthesia. I can't thank you all enough for your prayers and kind understanding of how scary it is. It is just so good to be able to share things like this with others who can comprehend. Thank you for the suggestion of the enzymes. I have heard of those but kind of feared they might not go well with his tummy troubles and haven't really looked into them. Are there any studies that show they are actually effective on preventing excess plaque build-up on teeth? Studies on long-term side effects on a tiny dog? Has anybody that had a Yorkie with an iffy tummy ever used them with no ill-effects? Do they adversely affect the liver, pancreas, kidneys? I worry about adding anything that could do that with a Yorkie. I know anesthesia does but it is once a year vs. maybe something daily that might cause some problems down the road due to toxicity, etc. Do you just buy them OTC or need a prescription? I know I can Google this but then you never know the veracity of the people who are answering those questions from other forums and their possible agenda, etc. There seem to be so little in the way of adequate studies on many things we give our dogs and that it is really worrisome. Everybody recognizes the benefits of making things to sell for dogs in our dog-crazy society today and it seems as if the market is flooded with products that only the manufacturer and possibly specious reviews say are good to put on or in our babies. Before I use anything like that for Tibbe, I really like to know actual long-term experiences from people I trust - you guys.

| Glad to hear that Tibbe is awake and waiting for your to come get him. Another dental accomplished! You might want to consider starting some sort of enzyme treatment for his teeth. They have been known to work pretty well. One of our YT members posted a picture of the really great results with one of her own dogs. It was quite impressive. Sorry, I can't remember who it was. Gracie is on a commercial raw diet. Raw meats have natural enzymes that help keep the mouth free of plaque. At this point she still has shinny white teeth and has no need of a dental . I hope it stays that way. I do feed my cats kibble and because most kibble does help promote plaque I am getting an enzyme additive to put in the cats water. There are so many kinds of enzyme products out there now that you have quite a wide range to choose from. There are tooth pastes, sprays and gels. I know you said you already brush Tibbe's teeth. Does that tooth paste have enzymes in it? Many of these products are all natural but there are some that are not. I hope Tibbe is all recovered when you get him home. I had to take Gracie to get her nails done today and she is pouting still. Hopefully, Tibbe is more forgiving. |

| Tibbe is back home! He's sleeping. He's peepeed, had some water and one piece of softened kibble and still woozy from the sedation. I hate to see him like this but hopefully tomorrow will be better. Thank you so much for all of your prayers. I know they make a difference. And thank you all for understanding. With so many other, awful things going on here on YT and on this earth, I know this seems trivial to some.

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | So glad Tibbe is home. When I picked up Pixie after her dental she was a little wobbly at first. She also was the last to be done and I picker her up 2 1/2 hours later. Within an hour she was doing great. Pixie had to have antibiotics 3 days prior and 4 days after did Tibbe? Pixie has had terrible teeth from the day I got her at 13 months. She has had 3 dental in 6 years and 10 teeth extracted. I am going to use the Petzlife religiously and brush often to see if she can go longer between dentals.

| I said a prayer for Tibbe before I took off today. And I thought about you all day. Ginny Joy had 3 therapy visits scheduled, and Julia Rose had her last puppy shot at 3 pm, then I had a senior couple that needed transport to the grocery, so we were busy most of the day. So I am checking back for news. Glad it went well and he is home. Jeanie you are not silly. I can not work when mine are going under for anything. I pray and worry untill they are safe at home. I think most of us are that way. Hugs

| Glad to hear Tibbe is home and doing well. Honestly I really don't know the long term effects on the Petzlife spray I use. =/ I don't even use it that religiously. You're supposed to use it twice a day, and if I can remember I use it like twice a week. I don't brush Uni's teeth that often either, I'm not very good at doing that. Her teeth are still really white. Maybe we are lucky?
