I have another suggestion. Are you familiar with the brand Celltei? It's pricey, but well-made pet carriers. In this link, there are TWO kangeroo pouches (the one towards the bottom of the page is their basic pouch with a lower price point):

Celltei Pet Carrier - Light weight Kangaroo Pouch line

BTW, I have their classic pak-o-pet for our normal outings. I think the quality of their carriers are pretty good (though I made some personal alterations on the carrier to suit my needs).

When our Outward Hound kangaroo pouch wears out, I'm going to look into the Celltei pouches to replace it.

Maybe.... if the bike doesn't actually move. And if there's no kids. But well he did do pretty well over here this past summer, so I dunno maybe there's hope. Skateboarding next?

Keep dreaming. Kaji can hear them coming a long city block away. He freaks out, even though he's safely inside the apt. I'm working on it.

I've never actually had Kaji on a bike before. Maybe he'll freak out only a little. he won't actually see it move towards him.

Hahaha! Thanks, guys! I knew from the get go that Clyde enjoyed bike riding with me, but when that lady made the comment I just got so ticked off I needed to vent!

I appreciate the supportive comments! Clyde and I have continued to backpack around our neighborhood and he is enjoying every minute of it.

I do think a backpack made for dogs would be a bit more of a safety factor for the little guy just in case of an accident or something. They also make baskets for dogs that have a wired covering to make sure they don't get hurt if the bike falls for some reason.

I don't know what to say about the woman who berated you for this. It is obviously none of her business and you did not ask her for her opinion.

I took your advice and am investing a doggie backpack!
