YT 500 Club Member | sad I have two yorkies. A five year old boy, and a new pup zooey. She's 8 months. I noticed she's not a lovey dovey like my boy. She's hard headed, won't come, potty issues, and not affectionate at all. My boy is just the opposite, and has always been a good dog. But that zooey is something else. She has her own agenda and a mind of her own. I know no two dogs are the same, but will she ever show me love????

| she's probably just like my Mandie. She loves you but she's stubborn and independent. You are right, too....no dog is the same as another. They all have their own personalities. Mandie never comes to me when I call here...she will come to her Daddy, though. My boy is my shadow..I don't even have to call him. But, when we all curl up at night...there she EVENTUALLY is lol...right between or in the crook of my legs

| LOL It's true though. I haven't had a female Yorkie, but a lot of girl Yorkies seem to be that way.

| Could you expound a little bit - what do you mean she has her own agenda?

| My Tessa, she's 100% daddy's girl. She follows him everywhere and refuses to sleep with me. I would hold her at night and in the morning she's curled up at his side. It's a hopeless love triangle. Sigh. |

As you wrote, each dog is an individual. Max is a very good boy, but he is definitely head strong, whereas Teddy is so easygoing.

| I must have lucked out! Stella is the sweetest, loving dog I've ever seen. She loves every member of the family, even my crazy 5 and 8 yr old boys. Even my "manly" military husband has fallen in love with this 4 lb cuddlebug. Hope that doesn't sound like gloating. I just like to sing her praises. We just love her so much.

| My girl is very friendly and affectionate. She was so easy to housebreak! She did have some terrier issues as a puppy, like being very headstrong and stubborn. She loved to play fight and growl. She would always want to get out the door every time it was opened. I had to spend quite a bit of time on her personality issues. A lot of training went into this dog but now she is a prefect little pet. While I insisted she give up some of her ways she is still a very outgoing baby with a huge personality. Don't just let your younger one be what she wants to be. Work on training her. Teach her things like sit, stay and come. When a dog recognizes you as the leader they change and become much more respectful. |

| I have two girls. Rosie is loving but it is on HER terms. Period. Mikki on the other hand will let you carry her around like a baby all day. Rosie was easy to potty train, Mikki not so much. Rosie is way more stubborn than Mikki. Rosie is a mommas girl, Mikki is a daddy's girl. I guess I am getting at that they are both girls but very different. But don't worry, your little girl will have you trained before long!
