| Did you try checking the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America. You may experience some problems taking the pup home early because 2 weeks does make a difference and its proven to be better for the pups so why would a breeder who wanted to better the breed not do whats best for the pups? Just because most breeders will sell at 8 weeks where you live does not make it right its kinda like that saying if every one jumped off a bridge would you because everyone else is doing it? Please do not leave your pup alone for longs periods of time because the younger the pup the higher the risk of hypoglycemia.

| Good luck with your new puppy. Our Kyra weighed 1.2 (18oz) at 12 weeks and is still very tiny at 2.8 but Laddy who weighed 1.12 at 12 weeks is at 4.8 so my two have stayed pretty close to the charts. With these little ones you really can't know unless like YorkieMom1 said the breeder can trace their lines back many generations. I know you will love her no matter what because noone can resist those adorable yorkie faces.

| I know but I don't blame her. She just lost her dad so she wants to be there for her mom during the holidays. The puppy will be fine. |

| Maybe it will be fine or it could need to be taught bite inhibition as well as other things. When you breed you should give your pups the best start possible and keeping them for two more weeks is doing just that. I have to wonder what she would have done if the pups where 8 weeks when she wanted to go out of town.

| I have to pay the breeder extra to keep our pup longer. She wants me to pick him up at 8wks, but I talked her into keeping him longer by using the excuse that he's a Christmas present. |

| My Gina weighed 10 oz at 12 weeks and she ended up weighing 9 lbs. lolol You never know. I got Zoey at 10 weeks and I spent all day with her, everyday until she was about 16 weeks old. We really bonded well.

| It's sad that you have to pay them but most breeders now a days want to sell at 8 weeks. |

| or maybe it was 12oz at 10 weeks. I remember showing her to a friend and remarking that she weighed less than a lb of bologna. That was back in '98.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Wow if I spoke to a breeder and she did not care about the pup I would not get a pup from them. Doesn't matter who recommended her. I have been looking for my pup. I have been looking in different states. I want the best pup I can get within my budget. I am not going to settle just because I want a pup. It is going to be worth the wait! |

| That's very sad I could never give my money to someone like that and support that and keep them in business. I would travel a few hours if I had to. Does she at least do genetic testing on her moms and dads?
