Ears gone floppy

I don;t know how true it is, but I have heard that Vit C helps build collagen and cartilage. I have particularly seen breeders of prick eared dogs like GSDs recommend supplementing Vit C to help ear carriage.
Do some reading and see if it might be something you might want to try to help keep ears up.
Since Sabres ears are not actually floppy, just "soft" I haven't done any research on that in years, so I'm going on memory and haven't tried Vit C on him because I don't feel the need.

thats strange that they didnt shave the ears my groomer always does, my teddy is 4 mnths old and his ear has flopped too, i keep reading that its because he is teething im taking him tomorrow to be groomed and im hoping his ear stands up again. i will let ya know

I've heard calcium supplements can be helpful. Calcium is stored in cartilage and when extra calcium is needed to grow teeth and bones, it will pull it from cartilage, so ears droop.

Ok, thanks I called some groomers also and they said as soon as he is done teething it should go back up. We will see

mine had 1 floppy ears. he is 11 months old. started "treatment" when he was 9 months old

rectified by constant massage to the ear base and feeding calcium biscuits.

the calcium thingy works like a charm
