| Aww he is so adorable! And it sounds like you are (your sister is) doing a great job with consistently training him. God bless you for rescuing him, I can't believe anyone would even think about "shooting" a dog just to get rid of it, that's disgusting!

I can't believe anyone would do that to him either! They said they were either going to do that or drop him off It was freezing out that night. Thank God my brother-in-law's niece was their to get the dog and bring it to my sister!

| So glad he is doing so well with your family. Reminds me of our Zoe. She is a rehomed Yorkie. She gets growly and nippy with my ten year old at times when she goes to pick her up. The people we got her from had a daughter the same age and this has made me wonder if she was distrustful of her. All these posts offering advice have been so beneficial. Going to pass them on to my daughter and try them. She so wants little Zoe to be her new best friend and adores her. Would be great to see it be mutual! |

| Im so glad that you have taken this little one and are doing so well with him, he looks a little sweetheart and I'm sure you will be able to work through the little issues he has. It may be an idea to start clicker training with him as this will help with the bond your kids have with him.

| I apologize for my long absent span. We are currently rennovating our house and things are really crazy. Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful and helpful advice. Just to update you, Chaz is doing great! He has become a regular part of the family and we love him dearly. He has had great success potty training. We basically started from the beginning crate training him and he has fallen into our school/work routine. He has now been neutered, had his tail taken off, his baby teeth pulled, wormed, shots now up to date, and been to the groomers. His life has been transformed and he seems to be happy about it! He still is a little growly however. It is usually when he is in the middle of doing something HE wants to do and we interrupt. For example, he may be laying on the bed and if we go to pick him up he will show his teeth and growl. Or, if he finds something on the floor to chew on that he's not suppose to have and we try to retrieve it, he will do the same. He does it worse with my daughters than with me. I think he thinks he can bully them more around? Still working on it. He is a really sweet, lovable dog, though. Dana (sorry for the really long post) |
