I apologize for my long absent span. We are currently rennovating our house and things are really crazy. Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful and helpful advice.

Just to update you, Chaz is doing great! He has become a regular part of the family and we love him dearly. He has had great success potty training. We basically started from the beginning crate training him and he has fallen into our school/work routine. He has now been neutered, had his tail taken off, his baby teeth pulled, wormed, shots now up to date, and been to the groomers. His life has been transformed and he seems to be happy about it!

He still is a little growly however. It is usually when he is in the middle of doing something HE wants to do and we interrupt. For example, he may be laying on the bed and if we go to pick him up he will show his teeth and growl. Or, if he finds something on the floor to chew on that he's not suppose to have and we try to retrieve it, he will do the same. He does it worse with my daughters than with me. I think he thinks he can bully them more around? Still working on it. He is a really sweet, lovable dog, though.
