| Zachary's Mom Donating Member | I am so careful with my babies. As you may remember, before we got Zachary we were trying to get a Japanese Chin (NOW I am glad we didn't get her because I wouldn't have Zachary) but they wouldn't even consider us w/o a fenced in yard. ALL of mine will use peepee pads if necessary. Twinkie, my 11 year old Chihuahua prefers to go outside (only on a leash with tags on his collar) but will use pads if nobody is home. Other than going to the vet, or in Zachary's case of going for a ride in the truck, they never go outside unless on our screened in porch. It is solid on the bottom half so you can't tell what kind of dogs we have. I would never even let my dogs out in the yard if it were fenced unless I was standing right next to them. I have heard way too many horror stories on YT that I would be terrified someone would steal them. My goodness, I would never be able to stop wondering what had happened to them. They are like my kids! GREED GREED GREED is why people do this kind of thing. The Bible doesn't say that money is the root of all evil but rather that the LOVE of money. ![]() ![]() ![]() Louise and Zachary |

| I think it gives some owners a false sense of security to have a fenced yard. Not that they are bad or anything but it's just not safe to leave a dog alone in a backyard anymore. The news reports say that many of these dogs are taken out of people's backyards. Who ever thought a little dog would become something you need extra security for? ![]() ![]() Several years back we had to guard all dogs because people would come and steal them out of yards and sell them to laboratories. Seems like there is always some way people can use pets to make easy money. |
