| Newbie says HI! Hi everyone! I'm a new member here (though I've been randomly lurking since April.) I figured that it was about time that I introduced myself. =) I'm Amanda and I live in Minnesota. I have three human daughters and two fur-baby boys. My dogs are Buddy, a German Shorthair Pointer who is almost 8 years old and Blazer, my Yorkie who is almost 5 months. Blazer is 3/4 Yorkie and 1/4 Shih-tzu. Blazer's mom (a Shorkie named Abby) and "aunt" (Yorkie named Sadie) live next door and I was the Midwoof for Blazer's litter. The family expected 4 and ended up with 6- I saved the lives of 2 of them (Blazer, the first born and also Gibbs, the runt.) It was my first midwoof experience and it was AWESOME! Blazer was gifted to me as a thank you and I have been with him almost every day of his life so far. Training Blazer has been a MUCH bigger challenge than it was training our GSP but overall it is going really well. Other than a few potty training mishaps our biggest challenge is getting Blazer to respect our human children (ages 3, 5, and 7.) He and Buddy are the best of friends and it is HILARIOUS to watch them play together. So anyway, that's why I'm here, because I have a Yorkie and I love him like crazy! =D |

| Welcome Amanda! That is the thing we ALL have in common....we have Yorkies, and "others" and we love them all!....we even love each others babies, so if someone tries to tell you another way to do something, just remember it isnt out of meaness, it is out of a genuine concern for the baby, maybe unwarrented, but....you may even like the different way to approach the issue and use it! If you dont think it suits you, PLEASE dont take offense, just skip over it and file it in your "recycle bin"!!!! Blazer (?? in your avitar ??) is a beautiful baby! They are all precious to us, but when you have been able to jerk one out of the jaws of Death, that baby is even MORE special! We need to see more pics of your gorgeous baby boy! Again, welcome to YT....take off your hat and coat and stay awhile! Feel free to jump into any conversation, or you can just sit over by the fireplace and read! | Thanks for the welcome! Yep, the avitar pic is of Blazer when he was just a palm size pup. I picked him because of his gorgeous colors- even though they aren't "standard." I especially loved his 4 white feet. =) I'm pretty good at taking virtual snark with a grain of salt- I've been a member of a few different types of forums and I've noticed that the pet ones are always the most passionate. LOL! I'm definately here to learn new ways to do things and offer ideas if I have them. With all things in life there is no one correct way to do things and I understand that completely. I've only ever had Buddy and Blazer for pets so I am far from an expert but I'm sure some of my experiences could help some one, some where, some how. I'm glad I joined YT, thanks for having me! =)

| What a nice way to get a pup! You can really say you have had him all his life! Congratulations. Yorkies are a little different to train. They tend to have that terrier personality. |
