| I have used belly bands, they are a great product- however it will just mask the problem. You should make sure to take him out to use the bathroom before going into someone’s house.. I mean really walk him around and make sure he has every last drop out!! I have a 5 year old male and I do this and it works for me… I also have to watch him like a hawk to make sure I don’t see him sniffing around, any sniffing I see I stop him and correct him. Can I ask why you do not want him neutered? I would highly recommend in getting him neutered- Here are some reasons why.. 1.prevents testicular cancer and prostate problems 2.An un-neutered male pet is driven by strong hormones to mate, and will often turn into a Houdini escape artist to get out of their home or yard, especially if there is a female in heat close by, or sometimes even miles away! 3.Marking & humping will be reduced or eliminated. Especially for males. Male dogs will be much less likely to ‘hump’ other dogs… or people’s legs. It is just a good thing to do for the health and the safety of your pet. Treat your dog like a pet, not a breeding toy.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | The hormone testosterone stimulates marking, and it’s is a wired in trait, it like a sneeze, how do you stop someone from sneezing? The testicles make the bulk of testosterone, so unneutered dogs will mark, and what’s more their urine smells much stronger than unneutered males. The adrenal glands make some testosterone, which varies greatly between individual dogs, so that’s why even neutered dogs males and females might mark, but usually it’s outside. A belly band is simply a wrap you place around the penis with a pad that soaks up urine. You should take it off to allow the dog to urinate, it’s only for holding the marking drops, not to be used as a diaper. By the way, marking has nothing to do with the need to urinate, it’s governed by smells and these smells trigger the leg to lift. Are you planning to breed him? Why don't you want him fixed? The number one cause of death in unneutered dogs is injuries from car accidents. They can smell a female up to 10 miles away, and have an incredible urge to reach her.
