| Oh no! Michael Vick has a new dog! Just goes to show that fame and money erase consequences and good sense. So soon we forget about those poor dogs the nation was aghast about! [URL="http://http://www.cnn.com/2012/10/12/us/pennsylvania-michael-vick-dog/index.html?hpt=hp_t3"d[/URL]

| This is news I hoped I'd never hear. I saw that picture last week of the dog biscuits setting on the table in his house and wondered and worried along with everybody else if it were true there was a dog living there and find out today, it is. Anyone who has killed dogs in the name of "sport", for money or however one wants to categorize pit fighting and killing nonproductive fighters, has lost his soul. Personally choking or electrocuting a 60 - 75 lb. dog is an extremely violent, depraved act and not many would have the stomach for it - but he did. Imagine how long it would take to do something like that to a big, powerful dog like a Pitbull!!! To sustain the act of killing and persist until all life is gone from a big dog that is trying to save itself tells me this man is capable of intense cruelty and violence and that the man one sees in public playing a game and giving speeches is far from who he really is. I can only hope that his new dog does nothing to anger him and PETA will camp outside his gates watching for signs the dog is still around. It is a sad, sad day for dogs.

| I thought he was banned from ever owning a dog again . Wasn't that part of his punishment?

| I read that a judge banned him from every owning one but obviously that wasn't or is no longer true! He's just thumbing his nose at all doglovers and the dog community one more time as he did in all those completely fake speeches he made about how wrong and sorry he was. There was no feeling in his apologies, no passion - nothing. Just flat affect when he said all the "right" words about what he did to dogs being wrong. He doesn't sound that way when he describes a successful football play or winning a game! He still doesn't get it and won't ever get it with dogs. Five years after personally forcing dogs to fight to the death in pits and cages plus personally killing those that didn't, he's got another poor dog! It's indecent!

| I think he was banned from owning one for a period of time but that ended. Even poor people are rarely, if ever, banned from owning dogs for life in this country so Vick's money and fame didn't enter into it - it's just rarely done even for other dog fighters. And even if poor or non-celebrity abusers/dog killers were banned from owning dogs for life, they could just move from that jurisdiction and go to another one and buy a dog or dogs, with no one the wiser. At least with a rich person/celebrity, people know what is going on with them and will keep an eye on the dog's well being and with Vick, he'll likely get a lot of grief should anything happen to this one! If you Google this subject, there are pages & pages of irate articles and blogs, etc. A whole lot of folks are going to be watchful of this dog's health! I think the doglovers of this country are madder than heck!!!

| I boycott subway, Nike and the NFL over Vick, bad food and child labor usage in foreign countries while putting Ameticans out pf work.. birds of a feather. He did his time therapy community service...but he's still a sociopath. Ever see pics of him with littke kids...they look terrified.
