Hiding your head in the sand is not the way to handle things. The hair like that if a pure yorkie (breed does matter in coat type) either means there is a health problem or he is younger then the others and came from a different litter.

Did the parents have genetic testing done? Did the pup go home at or after 12 weeks? Do you still have the dog? How is the health and how has the health been?

Please don't be mean or condescending. People are here that are from all types from getting puppies from puppy mills that have had major and extremely costly issues to breeders. They share their experiences to make sure that we don't go through the cost (sometimes with the cost being the pups life) and pain and sadness that they have gone through. I appreciate all these men and women here. I have learned so much. I respect them.

You should treat people how you want to be treated !

To be honest...there is something I don't think is right about the site. You said the last pup for 250.00? To me he looks younger...I just don't know.

I would be very sure it was not a broker ...puppy mill...the puppies may not be related and that is why the one looks different.

There are many beautiful happy healthy puppies that are a reasonable price..they may or not be akc. The most important to a breeder that has integrity ..maybe ask your vet? My little one is not of show quality but to me she is priceless and the most important is she is healthy.

To answer your question, he looks like he will have silky hair. Not sure if it's the type that will grow long, but it's def not cottony. It can also become wiry or course, depending on his genetics & if he's pure bred or not. When you go see him, make sure you see his parents, that's the best way to tell what he'll look like when he's older. I doubt they're actually on site tho, as I'm afraid this is not your typical back yard breeder but something far worse. One thing I find VERY STRANGE about this website you posted is that all the pups have different birthdays. Only 1 pup per date, except 'Teddy & Tara', 6 different litters!

Welcome to YT ! To be honest, I think it's not pure yorkie so I can't even begin to comment on the coat length. The color doesn't look rite to me BUT it could just be the pic, BUT the other 2 pics appear to have normal coloring so IDK. I would like to educate you further though, if you don't mind. If at all possible Please dig deep about a health contract & ask lots of questions as to past pup's health as there are some things yorkies are prone to these days, due to bad & mix breeding . Some of these things are AAI, Chiari, Liver shunt & LP. You may already know about these things but if not then Please do some research on them & educate yourself further as some are life threatening without prompt & proper treatment the pup will die. Also get familiar with the latest vaccine protocol as many vets & BYB's still over vaccinate pups & this can lead to GME & other autoimmune illnesses that are very expensive to treat & also life threatening. With that said, I wish you much luck in your search for your new little family member & look forward to seeing your new baby whatever it may be.

Well didn't you think by saying something nasty you where going to get that? If you didn't want arguing you would not have said what you said. I will never understand why people are against other people educating people about getting a healthy puppy. The only way to stop bad breeders and by puppy mills is to educate people.

If that's how you feel...im sorry, and have no control over that. I see that the OP found some of the replies (none specific) to be condescending, and I can definitely agree with that. I understand some people where raised with more respect than others, but there is a fine line between educating, and being a bully.

From my own experience with breeding and viewing Yorkie pups when looking for three of my four, they are not all alike. Hair, face, ears, mussel, coat texture, length and size of the pup are all different. All of my pups that I breed were smooth coat for lack of a better word and they all grew long silky coats. It can take up to two years for them to grow out but it will.

If this is truly a full blooded Yorkie and not a mix I agree that he will most likely have a silky coat and not a cotton coat which if much fuller. The length of the coat can not be determined. It comes down to how it is cared for and what products are used.

Below is Tinker Bell, a pup from one of my litters at 16 weeks. Slowly starting to grow her longer coat.

Anybody has the right to post whatever they choose. You cant pick or choose what they post. The pups coat looks like silk thats why its so thin
