| getting a Yorkie used to a new House?? Hi everyone! My Husband, Me and My 3 year old Yorkie Mitsi recently were kicked out of Our House, (long story, some issues with My Mother ect). My Dad is letting Us stay with Him, but Mitsi seems to be missing Home a bit. Shes used to My Dads House because Shes stayed with Him for a week when We went on Our Honey Moon, and We spend at least 1 night a week here as it is. Shes Happy acting most of the time, but She follows Me all over the place when She seems anxious, and She doesnt care to eat from Her food dish in the Kitchen unless someone is in the kitchen with Her. Im sure She misses Home, since She had Lived there since She was a Puppy. any advice You could give Me would be appricated. Also She has Her bed and all of Her toys, Ive also laid out a blanket She slept on at Home, those are some things Im trying. tHANKS!! |

| She probably is just nervous and doesn't want you to leave her. I would just give her some time...

| Normally, it takes about 7 days or so for a dog to get used to new surroundings. You'll see it get better each day. As mentioned above, just keep a daily routine - it gives dogs a feeling of security. Mitsi will come along in time

| Well, I'm sure she does not understand the situation. You know you have moved but she does not know what is happening. I would spend as much time as possible with her and try to get her into a routine. Hope she starts feeling more comfortable soon. They are such creatures of habit. |
