| Caught Maxximus humping his tiger He has no testicles. So I will be calling vet tomorrow. He put all his toys in his bed and I looked over just as he got the hump in his back. I told him NO and he lay down and went to sleep.

| I've never seen Shelby-Dale humping since he's been fixed but I have heard that some males still do that. Not sure how common it is

| My Presley is fixed and he still humps things. Not as much as he used to (probably because of his age-16-) but he will still hump occasionally. Sometimes if I try to stop him he will growl at me.

| A lot of people call this displacement behavior - something they do when kind of nervous/anxious or over-amped, over-excited and have to work off some quick energy from adrenaline. Others will run around or grab a toy & shake it violently. Others attack the other dogs with kind of rough play. It can just be a way to get rid of not knowing what else to do in a situation when worked up or unsure and adrenaline rushes in.

| Normal. Pups do it for dominance..sometime when they are full of energy and excited. Even if altered. Male or female. Having a "humpy" toy is recommended. But some ppl don't like to see this. If you look he won't be aroused...I wouldnt scold him or let it bother you JMO |

| Ziva(3 1/2) did it rather regularly until she was two, then it was mostly in the evenings when everything was winding down. We got Abby and it stopped pretty quickly after that- I guess she was bored- I threw out "Whiney Tiger" the other day when I was sorting out their old toys. |

| I think it's normal. My Kiva used to do it a lot when playing with a big teddy bear that we called her "boyfriend." I think it's just being dominant.

| I agree with you our Boxer would try to hump my husband when they would play. She was spayed shortly after her first heat. We would always say no and as she got older it became less frequent.
