I have a Yorkie and my Mom just rescued a Maltese. I just adore my yorkie, but love the Maltese too. Katie Scarlett is only a little over one, but she is still such a playful little thing. Loves to be included in everything and loves being with me every second. I just love it. She is my perfect dog. Molly, my Mom's Maltese, is such a sweetie too. She is definitely a lap dog. She will sit in my or my mom's lap for hours if you let her. Total cuddlebug. She doesn't play too much. Katie Scarlett is just dying for Mollie to play with her, but Mollie doesn't seem interested in play. But now she is a rescue and we do not know her full history. She is a little over 2 years. Now KS is a cuddlebug too, but not as big of one as Mollie. They both can be feisty at times and both bark about the same amount, which is not a whole bunch. We are working on training with Mollie, but KS picks up training very quickly. I am not sure I could ever pick. They both are such great dogs. Mollie would lay on the couch and sleep in your lap all day if you'd let her, while KS likes to play a bit. Sorry if I'm not much help. I love them both and they both are so cute!!!! Of course, since KS is mine, I guess I'm partial to yorkies.
