| When I got my puppy, I wanted to give her some kind of Korean name that would be easy for Americans to pronounce. I ended up naming her Toki after a Korean children's nursery song (Santoki...means mountain bunny). Toki certainly has cute bunny ears and hops like one too! |

| Lola is Lola Hope. I normally have had trouble with dogs name and seem to try out several before letting once stick. But it just came to me the moment I got her. Hope, a girl I have been mentoring for several years came with me to pick her us and she loved the name as well. Then we had an "official" baptism, Hope was the Godmother so that is when we gave Lola her middle name. I let hope have some friends over for an Easter party and we did it then. Here are some photos from the ceremony, that was in April of 2011. Both of my girls have grown a lot since then

| Jada and Bogie are both rehomes. Jada was 2 1/2 when we adopted her and we just kept the name she had. It fits her to a "T" Bogie was 7 months and we left his name the same too. It fits him too

| I think I'm going to stick with what the breeder named her Josie, I like it and it suits her. My 5 yo DS wanted to name her Sparkles so that might be her middle name. |

| How Chizzie got her name is a long story - here's the short version. I worked as an elementary school Media Center parapro when I got Chizzie. We read the Georgia Storybook Award Nomniees to the kids. That year my personal favorite was The Chizzywink and the Alamagoozlem. Reading the book to the kids I fell in love with Chizzywink which is another name for a mosquito in Florida. And because the new pup was a tiny ankle biter the name seemed perfect. Personally, I don't like the letter "Y" so I used "ie" instead. Chizzie's mother was Bell and her father was Yahoo (no joke). So Chizzie's full registered name is: Chizziewink Atyahoodotbell (At Yahoo Dot Bell). |

| We actually had a hard time getting a puppy-looked for a few months and could only find pitbulls (too big for our yard) and chihuahuas (not a fan.) We found sheltie pups 45 minutes away but we were traveling to NC that weekend so we thought we'd pick one up on Monday. Shelties are Scottish dogs, and my Sir is of Scottish ancestry, so I wanted the dog to have a Scottish name-Tartan if we got the boy, and Dacie or a few others if it was a girl. Well, when we came home, the pups were all spoken for. We found Jaeger a week or so later-half daschund, half yorkie. I thought I'd continue the thought process. I didnt want to go English (as in England English) for the name (for the Yorkie heritage) because the dogs were under 5 lbs at the time and I didnt need a 200 lb name for a 5 lb dog, so I looked at German names instead. Most were terrible and guttural, but I liked the sound of Jaeger, and it means "hunter" in German-which both breeds our. I kept his name a secret for several hours after we got him. i didn't want to admit that I had picked the name before the dog, and wanted to see if it suited him. It stuck, and he's totally lived up to his name-he brings me critters all the time!

| We agreed that we would name our yorkie: Pebbles or Tinka Well, neither seemed to fit her and I was holding her on the recliner the morning after we got her.........looked and said out loud :You are so beautiful, beautiful, bella (Italian for beautiful) Hence, her name is now: Bella....and we put a little bell on her so we could hear her when she was under foot: Jingle Bella...................
