It could be he had some irritation inside his butt due to the food change. He could also be having some gas issues. I don't think he was just being weird. Something was obviously bothering him but apparently he is over it, thankfully.

I think most of our dogs do strange things but they are usually just being silly and the nervous ones have their own set of behaviors.

Well he's tooted before and has never seem too bothered by it...including the time he was laying down by my head and decided to toot in my face haha Plus he seems kind of oblivious when he toots.

So far today, he's been acting like himself. Eating, drinking, and pottying has been normal and he's been running around, playing around with his sister. Hoping this food works out for us cause today we returned the other food we had.

Sometimes with a diet change things in the digestive system can get more acidic and that can cause some temporary internal issues that make the elimination end a bit more sensitive. It depends on the dog as to how long it lasts. It could be a day or a few days. Sounds like he is doing fine now.
