| where do you take your Yorkies? I love taking Sophie with me through out the day to run errands but Im not really sure where I can and can't the her. I usually take her to the pet stores and Target but that's about it. Also can someone recommend a good puppy sling? She isn't crazy about being inside a purse unless it's totally opened so I thought a sling might be easier. I do just carry her around too but she is so small sometimes it hard to have a good grip on her. She is 5 months old and 2.5 pounds. |

| We take Couver and Khloe everywhere, but it's because they ride in their KB Alex bag. They poke their heads out when we go to the mall, Bed Bath and Beyond, Home Depot, Lowes, Ace etc.

| Lilo goes everywhere including school. We leave her home or in the car with my roommate if we go places that have to do with food like at the grocery store or if we have to pick up dinner. She has been in Cafes with her purse but generally we only bring her to restaurants if she can sit outside with us. |

YT 1000 Club Member | Among some of the places listed by others, I take mine hunting... We go along the Bayou, and they catch and eat Frogs, Snakes and the occasional Bird. Things like that are what the Yorkshire was bread to do, and it's the only raw I allow them to eat. Only problem with that is that I have to take the Bird parts away from them, which they don't like. They think of them as "Prizes", but, no Foul bones permitted. I used the word "parts" above, and that's because both think they should share in the other's catches, and neither agree with the other's opinion.

| Jilly was only 3 lbs. so she went with me to Foley's Dept. Store, the mall, Albertson's Grocery Store in her carrier and rode in the seat of the grocery cart, went to Wal-mart, the post office, to work with me a few times, to the movies three - four times and even to the hospital to visit in her carrier. Tibbe is 5 lbs. 9 oz. now and I just can't manage to carry him around as easily and he hates being in enclosed spaces but he's been to Walgreens, of course to pet stores, to the park and to the Dollar Store so far out of the carrier and as I've been dealing with a hip problem mostly since I've had him, so far we haven't gotten to go about much. I hope before too much longer he can go about a lot more with me. He loves to go in the car, loves people and I think he's going to love the energy at the mall.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | We take Katie Scarlett everywhere we can that she is allowed to go in. Mainly pet stores, Lowes, Home Depot, and a few local stores that welcome her in. Our local Joann Crafts also lets me bring her in as long as she stays in her carrier. If she cannot go and we are going to be gone all day, she goes to doggy daycare. If we are only taking a short trip, to the grocery store for example, we leave her home with the tv on. She didn't like it at first, but she is getting much better at staying on her own for just small periods of time. I wish I could take her everywhere I go, but many places in our area are super strict. My husband calls them pet nazi's, but I tell him well rules are in place for a reason. I know she is not allowed anywhere that there is food, but I wish I could take her to our Kohls and a few places, but they are big no no's here. We also love to take her to flea markets with us. She's always welcome there. We also go bike riding, camping, to the dog park, to the local park, and to the library.

| I think because mine will stay perfectly quiet in handbag carrier, I could take them almost anywhere. We get to go many places because they are trained as therapy dogs (except Gracie, she doesn't trust children and hates cats so she can not be a real therapy dog). One place I was asked to leave is Burger King, when Ginny Joy sneezed and the lady behind me said very loud 'Hey she has a dog in here !' the manager came out and said, Hey sorry no dogs inside, you gotta leave an go through the drive thru lady.' so I did.

| Peanut will not go into the purse like carriers, so I bought him a stroller- He loves it and goes pretty much everywhere with me besides the grocery store

| We take Kali most places with us but not to grocery stores. I don't think they'd allow that here. Sometimes we take her to restaurants too if they have an outdoor cafe and are dog friendly. |

| We take Ahi everywhere. She has been in a purse since we got her so she never makes a peep. She is a good girl and in restaurants I will sneak her a healthy snack as a reward. She has been to the theaters too. Only once I got stopped in a grocery store and the guy told me as long as she stays in her bag and on my shoulder...not in the cart that it would be ok. If she isn't allowed then I just don't go if I can help it. Otherwise someone will be at home with her. I think only twice in her lifetime has she ever stayed home by herself. And I worried the whole time we were out.

| I take my Zoe everywhere too. But she loves her bag, at least she likes it over being left at home. I tell her to get in her bag and put her head down and she jumps right in and I zip it up. She never makes a noise. Sunday I went out for breakfast with a friend for about 2 hours and she sat beside me in her bag the entire time. Then I went out for lunch with family and she did the same thing. Today she went to the grocery store with me and no one ever knows. |

| Maggie is 10 pounds, so no carrier for her She goes to Lowes and Depot. She has been to Marshalls and Big Lots and nobody said anything. I stick a towel in the shopping cart and in she goes. Only short trips though. She also went in bed bath and beyond once because it was next to Petco and it was too hot to leave her in the car. Funny thing is, before I was a "dog person" I would have not liked dogs being in shopping carts even in non-food stores, so I do respect anybody who says it is not okay for her to be there. |

| Here in Austin,my YT goes everywhere with me. He went to the nail place while I got a pedicure, stayed in his KB bag while I go to the chiropractor. We go to TJ Maxx, Home Goods. Ross, Old Navy, all the pet stores, the people at Walmart just don't give a care, he loves Home Depot & Lowes (like his mom). One of the only places I got static was the post office, but I got all huffy and asked if the mailman was expecting me to leave him in a 100 degree car. I snuck him into a bakery to pick something up quickly, but 99.9% of the time I don't bring him to food places. |
