Put one of the laminated copies on both side windows in the back seat and in the back window of your car....is there a condo management office? Be sure you leave them a poster ....ask if you can put a poster at the enterances of the condo.....I am so sorry this has happened.....I know your sister is distraught and Teddy probably is too......If he is found with that new collar, and those pretty glitzy initials spelling out his name, if someone finds him, they will know he is loved and cared for and not some stray.....maybe that will be enough to get them to check for microchip.....

We have been out all day posting the flyers everywhere- the police department, all fire stations, and probably 50 or more gas stations, etc. Unfortunately, the humane society, animal control and most vets were closed today for the Labor Day holiday. We also had a very close "false alarm" that was posted on Craigslist for a "small golden male dog" that was found this morning just down the street from us. Unfortunately, it was not Teddy. That was definitely an extremely emotional high and extreme low when it was not Teddy.

Everyone has been so nice and helpful. We have not given up and are praying that the morning will bring the call from a vet or humane society saying that they have Teddy. There are approximately 10-15 vets in the nearby area that open between 7:30-8:30am- so we will be getting an early start to head out to those that didn't have an email or fax number listed.

Continued prayers are appreciated! Thank You so much!!

Thank you for the idea of posting the flyers on our cars- because we had not thought of this. When I read this to my sister tonight- she thought it was a great idea and we'll be sure to post the flyers on all of our cars in the morning. We still have 5 vehicles here. My sisters husband had to go home with my nephew because he had to be back at school in the morning. My nephew was extremely upset to leave without Teddy or his mom. My sister didn't leave and is planning to stay until hopefully Teddy is found. The rest of our family is supposed to leave on Thursday morning.

I was just searching through some "Lost & Found" listings on Craiglist and found a post that says "Help for missing pets- Resources" with the link to www.lostdogflorida.com that re-directs to www.PetAmerAlert.com. Has anyone ever heard of this or know if it works?

Have you tried contacting a 'Search and Rescue' organization? Sometimes they will be available to try to find a lost pet. Scents last a very long time, and I think the cost is reasonable. If you have trouble finding one, ask at the police station, or humane society or animal control.

Just a quick update- we did not find Teddy today

The day started off early with very positive thoughts that we'd finally find him once the humane society, animal control, vets & most stores reopened from the Labor Day holiday. We left out early this morning and hit everywhere we could think of and more. Everyone has been so nice in helping spread the word, passing out flyers, sharing on facebook, etc. His picture and info will be in the local paper tomorrow. It honestly seems like almost everyone here is aware and helping us look for him.

We are now extremely worried that someone has picked up Teddy and taken him "home" with them from vacation- which could be anywhere.

Please continue to keep Teddy in your prayers. He is a "mama's boy" and we know that he's missing her so much. My sister is devastated and we haven't been able to get her to eat much at all. We are going to try and get some sleep in order to start all over again tomorrow. Praying for good news tomorrow! Thank you so much for the support & prayers!
