| ![]() Been taking Deuce to see my Mom for the past three years. He just loves her. She lives in a Continuing Care Facility. Mom is now in Skilled Nursing Care and he loves it. She says the days I bring him are so relaxing. I was surprised by her comment but I can see that he has that effect on her and other residents. Mom is so relaxed when we are there with her. When we leave I usually help her into bed and Deuce just has to jump on and kiss her. During our visit I usually have him play ball with her (for her exercise) and then I work with him at his portfolio of tricks - sit, circle, down, roll over, shake paw (both) and high five. They just love watching us do that. I'm thinking I will try to work with him on some more complicated things just for the heck of it since they love just watching us. I couldn't believe the crowd we had during nap time!!!!!!

| ![]() I have heard of many people taking pets as a support for nursing homes and such. I think it is a great idea! And I can only imagine how it would just make their day to see one of our precious babies!!! You are doing a wonderful thing for them. ![]()

| ![]() That is so great that everyone enjoys Deuces visits. Yorkies are amazing therapy! My husbands grandma is 90 and at times she doesn't remember our names but she always remembers Georgie ![]() ![]()

| ![]() Yorkies make good Therapy dogs My little Abba Daddy is a regular visitor to my AD patients in nursing homes and hospitals. He is a wonderful therapy dog. Rubin and Ginny Joy work very well with children and often attend my little pet care talks. Gracie makes in home visits and loves the seniors she is not a real therapy dog, she doesn't like children, cats and only visits shut ins and seniors.

| ![]() What a wonderful idea! Most "seasoned" adults in nursing facilities have very few visitors, so I think this is a wonderful thing for you to do! It's also something I wouldn't mind being a part of. Thanks for sharing! ![]() ![]()

Max Main's Mamma Donating YT Member | ![]() That is great that Deuce brings so much joy to people who really need it. I bet Yorkies are really great therapy dogs because they are so loving and they love to show off! They are pretty cute too. I keep saying that I am going to get Max certified as a therapy dog and donate our time at nursing homes. You have inspired me to look into it further. ![]()
