| In urgent need of a harness We just found out that Sophia is getting surgery to get a lump removed on her shoulder on Tuesday. It's right above her left shoulder, and all three harnesses that she has cover that area. The vet said we can't use the harness on her for 14 days (because it will mess with the incision), and she'll have to use a collar. We REALLY dont' want to use a collar, is there any other harness we can use that won't touch that area? Or can anyone custom make one super fast? Sophia is only trained to go outside and it's not an option to take her without a harness on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

| Where exactly on the shoulder? I just got this harness for Jackson, and it sits back further than his other harnesses: Clean Run: ComfortFlex Sport Harness Sry to hear about Sophia needing to go under.

| PM me her measurements and post a pic of her with the camera looking straight down to show her back and add a text arrow to show the exact area of the lump. And/or is the lump above her shoulder towards her spine or above towards her head/neck? Let me know... I can start on it tonight.

Great!! That is what I was thinking.. a harness like a vest that many of us use on the "boys" would work. How much of a "puller" is she? kjc.. your great!!!!!!

I think she said she pulls, but maybe after the operation she may not feel like pulling too much... I'm sure she'll be a bit sore.

| Thank you Kathy!! Sophia is a puller, but she isn't as bad she used to be. I did the best I could taking pictures. For the first two, I circled the bump with a red oval. The vet said that they are going to be taking out a decent amount of skin, so I'm not actually sure how big the incision is going to be. I do think it will be bigger than the circle I made. For the last picture, the lump is where my bf's finger is pointing, lol. It's not actually visible from the top Let me know if you need any other picture types. I'll work on measuring her now.

look at www.chokefree.com... maybe a modified cloth verision of that harness... it doesn't use buckles but velcro and a d ring.. when the leash is clipped onto the d ring it is impossible to come off

YT Addict | Quick question, Bailey is so tiny that the only collar that fits him at the moment is the Kitten ones.. does anyone know where to find tiny harnesses? I read that collars can cause tranchea damage on them. |

This one would work if it joined separately around the neck and girth, but as it is, when a dog pulls, the neck piece slides right over the side shoulder area... back to the drawing board...

Ok...what I am thinking is...combine the concept of how a buddy belt is made and the choke free...in a soft but firm fabric. You could used fusible webbing ... Do the buddy belt concept around the legs but use the concept of the chokefree in the way it connect on top so you don have to use buckles. I see you were already thinking along that line Or A boy Type harness..but cut the shoulders away kind of like a man's wife beater under shirt. Ha ha ..it's easy for me...your doing the work..but hooe that helps. Again..you're great !
