I used to blow dry my dog when he was a puppy, but he was so unconfortable so I decided to try let him air dry naturally. I noticed that he would run to a mat, bed, or blanket and would roll & do all sorts of things to dry himself. So I saw he prefered that way. I purchased a pretty absorbent mat just for the purpose of placing in on the floor after the bath and boom! He's a master at drying himself. I don't know if this would work when his coat gets long, but I don't want to condem him to an unpleasant hair drier. :) |

I give both my boys a bath at the same time and I never blow dry. I towel dry as much as possible then lay a towel on the floor and let them roll around on it. My boys are terrified of the blow dryer so I can't really do that to them. I guess sometimes Dexter will shiver kind of hard, so I'll throw a towel in the dryer for a few mins and wrap him in it, but this is not often. Mostly I **THINK** hes shivering more for attention and the adrenaline of the bath and the zoomies after it. Not really from cold. |
I bathed Anakin and Bella separately and sometimes at the same time. I towel dry them off and let them run around if it is warm. If it is cold I either wash them one at a time then dry them or I wash both and dry both at the same time with a hair dryer. |

I have no choice but to let Pasquale air-dry. He turns into the DEVIL when I attempt a hairdryer at him!!!!!!!!!!!:confuse2: Anyways, I think he runs around the house after bath time so fast....he's dry by the time he's done. |

:thumbup: Absolutely...hand held or stand mounted, my hand is between them and that dryer...and I keep the dryer moving when I hand hold! I am hoping the stand lasts a little while...it is great to point it at the feet on low...which is still heated but not very hot, since their feet always seem to take longer to dry. I use the dryer more hand held than on the stand but when I lay the dryer down while it is running, the vibration and sound difference kind of freaks them out so that they move away in fear...which I don't like.:p:D |
We use the blow dryer for KS as well. She shivers at any little thing and I'm afraid to let her air dry. Even when we go swimming, she can be in direct sunlight and still shivers. As for the multiple bath thing, I am not help there. I only have one tot. :) Good luck! |
I tried washing all 3the of mine at one time. I thought it would go faster. It turned into a slip &I slide circus. One at a time here now. |

Clever idea...I don't iron, so that might work...lol I use a large thick towel folded on the counter...lots of under counter lighting and good height right near the sink. Even that cushioned, the dryer takes on a 'different' sound when laid down that they don't like. I almost bought a rubber topped, folding grooming table, arms, straps, and all but where to store it? It's either a chore always setting it up and tearing it down or worse...I feared it would end up living in my kitchen, all set up, as often as I 'fiddle' with the kids. lol |
I sit in this big comfy chair with wide stuffed arms and I comb her out. Then I use my dryer that 3 heat and 3 different power settings on her. Sometimes I hold it as I am combing and sometimes I lay it on it's side on the arm of the chair so I have both hands free to comb while the dryer goes on it's own. I think I saw a blow dryer stand that will fit most types of blow dryers and thought it looked like something worth trying. Will have to see if I bookmarked it. |
