| Welcome to YorkieTalk! Did she or does she have fleas? If she had fleas it could be a flea allergy if she didn't it could be an allergy to the shampoo, food, or environmental. Did you take her to the vet for a check up when you were given her?

welcome to yt and congrats on your new girl if she was not scratching and itchy before the bath then most likely it was the flea shampoo that irritated her delicate skin. some of shampoos are pretty harsh. i would suggest a bath in a mild oatmeal shampoo . if she has not been to the vet already she should go and get checked out. if she does have fleas make sure you mention to your vet that you already gave her a bath in flea shampoo. you don't want to overdose her on flea meds. good luck | |

| Hi she was itching when i got her and she lived with a cat that's why i decided to get the flea shampoo the spots seem to come and go they look like bites or heat lumps but ive just noticed a flea jump when she turned on her back to have her belly tickled (she loves that!) so im pretty sure now that's what it'll be. Thankyou so much for your replies i appreciate it! Last edited by taraboo; 08-14-2012 at 08:39 AM. |

| Welcome to YorkieTalk!! I'm sorry she has fleas... Hopefully you will be able to remedy that quickly. We had a flea infestation last summer and thank goodness we didn't have any problems this summer. It is NOT fun. Good luck! We would all love to see pictures of her!
