| How many actually use the term "FurChild" or "FurBaby"? I'm just wondering. To me, it looks sort of normal to see online, but I can't imagine someone actually using it in real life. I've never used it online either tho. I know I couldn't do it. Furbaby reminds me of a Furby too

| I don't say "furbaby," and I'm not sure that I've ever typed it, but it's definitely not something I use regularly. I often say "the girls" or "pups" when I'm referring to Rory and Lane.

| I refer to my girls as "furkids" online, but I don't think I've ever said it in public I know everyone here will understand how I feel about my doggies. Other people see them as "just dogs" I do know that they mean the world to me

| We have two sons so we either refer to Sophie as "our little girl" or Sophie.

| LOL, I generally call my dogs.......well..........dogs. While I sometimes think that calling them dogs when others use terms like furbaby or furchild seems somewhat cold, I never think of them (or anyone else's) as "just" dogs.

| Call me crazy but I always call Georgie my furry boy. I actually feel kinda weird saying dog. I always mess with my skin son who is 4 and tell him he is my furry son and Georgie is my not so furry son he thinks its hilarious. He said Mommy I am not furry like Georgie

| I use "furbaby" in real conversation so much that those around me have started using it too I think it better expresses how much a dog means to an owner...than just DOG.

| Yup. I think it is fun. I use furkids and kidren. online and while dasually talking.. Not in a professional setting or when first meeting somebody.. I don't see them as my kids. It just sounds cute. We use "the girl" and "the boy" a lot. I never have called them son and daughterand never will.

| In real life, I refer to Tatiana as "our only child." Given how she's treated and how I take her EVERYWHERE, it's the truth. |
