How many actually use the term "FurChild" or "FurBaby"?

I refer to Atticus as furbaby, furkid, my sweet boy, my baby, etc. I refuse to use the term "dog" because to me he is much more than that. Everyone knows that I am crazy about him, so my family goes along with it too.

A bad person, is damaged. A poor person is never lazy, always underprivileged, I am not fat but, overweight. Christian does not mean a person who loves Jesus, but means someone who is old fashioned and judgmental. Sigh.... I could go on and on but I might say something that is not bad, I mean cool, I mean..............

this could be another thread... I do think it is going BACK to the way it was when some of us were children for some of the terms..

some I agree with the change - I am glad some terms are not as judgemental or cruel as before,

some are just dated and like you said not viewed as cool,

while some ..ok if it a pig, smells like a pig, looks like a pig etc why can't we call it a pig?? (now.. i just used the animal pig for an example.. I like pigs, nothing against pigs and wasn't thinking that they were representing anything!)

I am a bit older,but I am cool,,,not bad,,cause you dont want me to be bad. Even the 20 something friends of my 20 something people puppys tell me Im cool. HMMMM maybe it is so I will understand what they are saying.

Only online. In the motorhome community, we call our permanent residence the "stick house" and the motorhome, the MoHo. I use furkid online, but everyday Dori is just Dori, a family member.

I don't think I've ever used the word 'furbaby' IRL either. I know I've typed it before. But I do call her my baby, or my child. She is!

Love it!! We call Ian our baby, our son or our little boy! When someone asks his age, I tell them, and then say "He's a yorkie!!" (I am waaaay too old to have a 2.5 year old. My son will be 25 next month!)

Umm..... I call mine, 'lil sis' . People are often confused lol, for I only have 1 brother.
