| Natural Calming Can anyone reccommend natural calming herbs or drops for their baby? Today I got to watch Bailey on camera for the first time when he was alone. It took him over an hour to calm down to the point where I was satified, but he never really accepted that he was alone.

| It's sort of softish kind of music. I can't really explain it other than it has a calming effect. It's sort of made to enhance a dog's brain and focus.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My vet gave me drops called Nutricalm for Pixie's thunder anxiety and they work really well. They are all natural and the vet has to get them for you. You can't buy if you're not a vet.

| Maybe you could make a recording of your voice speaking calmly to him? Or would that just confuse him? Anyway my daughter used Rescue Remedy on her cats when she took them for quite a long car ride and it worked quite well. It is all natural. There are formulas for humans and animals. It is available online at various outlets. I know Amazon has it. You can put a a couple of drops in their mouth or in the water. |

| I've heard a lot of great things about the Thundershirt. I am not sure if can be used for this particular reason, but I know a lot of YTers use it for anxious dogs. I hate hearing my baby cry when I have to leave him by himself, which is not very often.

| I will have to talk to my vet about the drops. I need to take him in soon for his rabies shot anyway. I use the thundershirt and it doesn't that much. Between 1 and 10 with 10 being the worst, it will calm him down to a 8 when wearing the thunder shirt. I just don't like to give him xanax or benedryl all the time when storms/fireworks spook him. I feel like i'm drugging my baby.

| Training for separation anxiety. If you don't get the desired results within a reasonable amount of time then drugs are not a bad choice. One of mt dogstakes low dose Prozac for anxious chewing. We are happier and he is more relaxed. Drugs are healthier than being worked up all the time.

| I have a webcam too. Brandi does a lot of pacing. She used to sleep most of the day but recently it seems she is now up most of the day. I too am trying to figure out something to alleviate her boredom. |

| Gracie is 2 and she just sleeps most of the time when I am gone. She is a pouter so I guess she puts her head down and falls asleep. I am not gone all day though. Rescue Remedy is an all natural product that humans and animals have been helped by. If he is that upset by being alone it might help him to relax enough to fall asleep. When my daughter gave it to her cats to calm them during the car ride. One slept but the other two just sat quietly in their carriers. One of her cats is very high strung and usually cries and throws up in the car. She was quiet and calm the whole way with the Rescue Remedy. It might be worth a try to see if it helps him to relax. |
