| Steve update/checking in Hi, everyone! I haven't left the forum just been sitting back watching my puppy, Steve grow up. He will be 8 months on August 1st. If you guys remember I was questioning Steve's "Yorkieness", lol Well, I have mended fences with the breeder since I do love him soooo much and she has given me pics and a lot of info concerning his parents. Also he was fixed last Thursday and the vet believes he is Yorkie due to several characteristics he has. He may not be the best example of a Yorkie but he believes he is. I know he has something way back or else how would the "parti gene" have come to be but at least I don't think his mama was cheating with a chihuahua anymore. haha So I am going to attach a couple pics of his mom, dad and sister. Mom is the smaller more red dog. I believe Dad is a puppy in these and his sister is also a puppy. I saw his Dad in person and he is completely tan and silver now, still with a little white on his chest. Mom died after the puppies and sister looks pretty much the same with more black once her hair grew out. What do you guys think? |

| Steve/Parti Carrier Yes it looks like Dad was a parti carrier, mom a tradtional (would also have to be a carrier to produce little sister who is a parti). Great group pic.

| Awe he's cute! I love his name too - "Steve". Haven't heard of too many dogs with that name, which is cool plus the endless cute nicknames I am thinking up right now is hilarious ("steve beve" and "stevis bevis" made me giggle lol). I love a good name that you can make silly nicknames out of for a dog.

| Did you ever have to cut Steve's hair? I know that is the factor that is shall we say 'a little less Yorkie?' He does look like a Yorkie in every other respect. I guess if he hasn't had to have any haircuts you can be glad about the money you save from having to take him to the groomers! |

| We had him groomed once a few weeks back but mostly for nails, anal glands, etc. We have been keeping up on the nails, butt hair, and shaving the ear tips. No big deal after we saw how to do it. When I talked to the groomer she said Steve's dad's hair took a year and a hair to really grow and the mom's was after 2. He seems to be following that pattern especially with the lion mane around his neck. He had double canines too but I worked on them till they fell out. His adult teeth are so white and nice now. Also about his name, his full name is Steve McQueen's Bullitt, but we like Steve. He gets steve o from our kids. Lol. |
