Yorkie Yakker | Hello everyone! Just wanted to introduce ourselves to the group after finding you via a google search for an ailment our puppy has today after a vacination at the vets! he had his first injection this afternoon and hasnt been well this evening well I say he hasnt been well..he's eating and drinking weeing and poo-ing so everythings working! he's just not comfortable being picked up he's whimpering and very sad but after scrolling through the internet I think it's normal after injections ? I hope he's better tomorrow.I've been reading some of the posts from previous members and OMG I hadnt realised having a puppy would bring so many trial and tribulations so I'm so glad I found you all looks like this site may come in really useful! Ryman is only 9 weeks and a tiny yorkie I feel so sad for him this evening...bloody vets By the way we are in the UK so please allow for time differences when replying to any of my posts....cant wait to get to know you all Jane xx |

I hope your pup is feeling better soon. Maybe you can mention the reaction with your vet and ask them to divide the injections up next time? Welcome to YT! | |

| Welcome to YT! When I got my little one the vet suggested I give him infant ibuprofen about 30 minutes prior to his shots. It really did help! Good luck!

| to YT! Some pups will have swelling & pain in the injection sites. Poor baby, hope he'll feel better soon! Ibuprofen is not recommended for dogs, it has a high occurrence of gastrointestinal side effects.
