YorkieTalk Newbie! | What Is a Good Product to Help Brighten a Yorkie’s Coat? Does anyone recommend a product I can buy to help brighten her coat? Either that or a home remedy. Thanks! |

| The best food you can afford! Our Abby came to us with such a dry, crispy coat- she was on the cheapest chicken Wellness and just was not getting enough food (litter of 5) We trimmed her, washed her with minksheen shampoo and fed her a grain free fish protein food- in 4 months she looked like a totally different dog and at 1 year shimmers in the sun. |

| Toki has a very soft and shiny coat! I'm excited to see how it looks when it gets even longer and as she matures! We do raw in the morning and grain-free Fromm in the evenings with 1/4-1/2 tsp of coconut oil daily/every other day! We are using the CocoTherapy Coconut Oil but any cold-pressed extra virgin coconut oil works just the same. |

| Agree. In my opinion, a good coat starts from the inside out (like humans with their skin and hair). Personally, I home-cook for Tatiana. She eats a mixture of chicken, rice, spinach, and plain pumpkin. There are supplements of coconut oil, fish oil, and vitamin and mineral powders. She is brushed daily, and bathed weekly. Tatiana receives compliments on her coat -- what pretty colors she has, and how much hair she has. When children pet her, they often say how soft she is. |

| I also use a vinegar and water rinse between their shampoo and conditioning. It helps get all the remaining soap out before you condition.
