In my opinion, a good coat starts from the inside out (like humans with their skin and hair).
Personally, I home-cook for Tatiana. She eats a mixture of chicken, rice, spinach, and plain pumpkin. There are supplements of coconut oil, fish oil, and vitamin and mineral powders. She is brushed daily, and bathed weekly.
Tatiana receives compliments on her coat -- what pretty colors she has, and how much hair she has. When children pet her, they often say how soft she is.
