| If you are going to leave your dog outside much, better get a dog that won't succumb to exposure the way Yorkies and many small dogs do. With much of the country in the grips of a heatwave and the drastic winters many parts have, including rain, storms, etc., a bigger, hardier dog is better than a dog who could easily die from exposure as a Yorkie or chihuahua or tiny poodle can. I don't recommend leaving any dog in the backyard most of the time and believe that they should be considered family members but if your family is determined to have an outside dog, get one who can live through extreme weather better than a small, delicate breed. Also, those type dogs aren't quite so likely to be stolen.

| But not everyone reading is a troll and some newbies or visitors, now or in the future, may read the post about smaller dogs being highly subject to exposure that didn't read earlier posts saying the same thing and choose a hardier dog if they are planning on keeping their new dog outside. It may be not everyone reading posts knows about small dogs such as Yorkies being too delicate for outside living.

| Wish I was so easily amused as to start drama online. What an interesting type of life said person must lead.... ![]() I'll stick to being entertained by shiny objects.

| I hope your dog gets return back to you. Losing a pet is never fun. I think you love your pet but was shocked to find out how much owning a dog requires from a pet owner. Right now, we all can only hope the dog is safe and living in a caring environment. |

| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Closing this thread. I don't know anything provable about this person - whether this could be real somehow, or if is this is someone who gets entertainment from this sort of thing. Either way, it's totally inappropriate to make intentionally mean comments about a person's mental health status and/or to call them names. Letting someone trigger us to the point where we think it's okay to 'let them have it' isn't what YT supports. Let's not be that type of forum. Generally, YT does not support calling people "trolls" - the reason why is because there have been several members who've been called trolls, who actually turn out to be REAL members. Calling someone a troll, or any other name - really serves no one. Thank you .
