Thanks so much for the info! I'll be trimming the bottom in just a little bit. Lucy may not love it, but I'm certain she'll appreciate the trim afterwards (she hates the sensation of a soiled bottom!) Have a great nite. Tracey | |

| ![]() When my Presley gets poop stuck to his hair he runs directly too me. You'd think he was dying they way he carries on with his yelping. I don't know why his is so scared of it - he always has been though. He's given me many a heart attack I tell you. I do try to keep the area trimmed short. Its not the prettiest, but it does help. |

YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() I definitely DO on both of mine ! ![]() Besides a short cut around the anal opening, I extend that to shortening the hair for about 1/4-1/2" out on their tails as well. Then, taper the longer hair as it approaches the body. With that, I rarely have any debris stuck back there. But, the above process doesn't prevent it totally. Now an then I find something that needs to be removed, and just pick them up, set their back legs in the sink (after warming up the water) and give everything back there a good rinse. I don't get grossed out at doing it bare handed. ![]() Both mine seem to enjoy the rinse, I think they like knowing they're nice and clean.
