| I JUST got home from the ER....OMG, what a mess....Sick people EVERYWHERE!!! I had to wait for several people that were a lot worse off than I was, to be seen...which was fine....I was really beginning to think I really did not need to be there....long story short....I broke 2 ribs and hairline fracture in 3rd...AMAZINGLY, I did not break any bones in my elbow...thank goodness I fell across that mop bucket and that probably saved my elbow...blunt force trauma to muscles and the nerve....they put a splint to prevent me moving the joint...but let me tell you.....this thing is not going to match anything I wear, so it may have to come off...I have a sling I can use....knee is ok....all that milk and cheese and calcium laden foods I have eaten all my life have really paid off! THANK YOU ALL, FOR THE PRAYERS AND POSITIVE VIBES AND CONCERN! I can not take pain meds...they make me violently ill....I will take Advil or some extra strength Tylenol and get some sleep... |

| Oh my! Glad you're home! You're lucky, you could have punctured a lung! Get some rest... I get the pain meds... I usually only tolerate 1/2 or 1/4, lol. Praying you feel better soon... Hugs, Kathy

| Oh no! They do say bathrooms and kitchens are the most dangerous rooms in the house. I guess nothing can be done about the ribs...just pain meds. Will be sending healing energy your way. |

| Oh, it's good you got checked out and don't have to be casted or splinted or worse. Getting up tomorrow morning and the next 14 mornings is not going to be pretty but you were overall lucky, though that word doesn't really seem appropriate to say to youright now. But at least you are not going to be having surgery on that elbow or something like that!!! I hope that medicine you can tolerate will keep you comfortable and somehow you can get some sleep tonight. I added you to my prayer list this afternoon. I am so sorry that this happened to you.

| Thank goodness you did not fracture your elbow. That is a pain in the butt type injury. Glad you are ok. Hopefully those ribs won't be too uncomfortable for you.

| How awful about your fall and ribs. Ouch! But, sounds like it could have been worse. Take care and hope the Advil is helping this morning.

| I am up gettingh ready for work....I can tell you all ONE thing for certain....every single muscle in your body, is attached to your ribs! I cant even smile without these ribs hurting! Even though I feel like I was put in a gunny sack and beat with baseball bats, I am just sooooooo thankful I didnt break that elbow! I have NEVER been thru an emergency room....been very fortunate in my life...healthy as a horse....will be giving thanks for that on a daily basis! Trying to get dressed with one arm....running a little late but do-able! |
