| Owie! If there is anything like a bump/swelling/weird behavior etc, I'd definitely go get it checked out just to be safe. |

| When romeo was super young he jumped out of my hands and hit his head on the floor..he actually was laying on the ground not responding and almost seizuring.. Romeo came back to it after a couple of minutes and was walking... I called the vet right away and he said to monitor him and just make sure he was eating normal, walking normal and not acting lethargic and such.. usually if theirs problems from the brain swelling they happen after 24-48 hours so just monitor close and watch her behavior

| Please don't feel bad! As careful as we try to be with our little ones, things like this have happened to all of us. The fact that she is acting normally so far is a good sign that she probably just thumped her noggin and will be fine. It is a very scary time when accidents like this happen so just be sure monitor your baby for any changes at all. |

| This same thing happened to me with Jada at the vets office I had only had her a couple of weeks and had here there for grooming (vet tech grooms on her day off) I was picking her up from her groom and she wiggled and I dropped her She was fine but I felt like the worst mom in the world. Prayers that your baby is ok.

| Watch the baby for any lethargy, listlessness, sleeping more then usual, far away look in her eyes-kind of like the lights are on but no bodys home-,....nausea, wretching, loss of appetite, vomiting, change in gait, ie stumbling, staggering, dizzy acting behavior....shaking her head, holding her head off center when looking at you....any of these are signs of fluid build up in the brain, pressure on the brain......take her IMMEDIATELY to the vet.... ER vet if necessary....do not wait until the office opens on Monday, etc...you go immediately and get help. Last edited by Yorkiemom1; 07-14-2012 at 06:29 PM. |
