| Oh gosh, I was just talking about this show with my sister!! Sorry, but we HATE it! Maybe it's because I live in the suburbs of Manhattan and I'm in the city all the time. IMHO, the host is no Cesar Milan. (Stay Calm and Be Assertive!) You never see him really training any dog. He makes the owners leave and wa la!! Doggie is trained. It's MAGIC!!! I don't like that show -- but the host is cute and has a nice accent. I think it's more about seeing all the mishaps of city dog owners than actual training. Sorry that I can't agree here. Have a great day anyway. Tracey |

| i didn't think so much of it when i watch the first episode. it's growing on me more and more though. i just watched the finale episode where they overhauled the shelter - WOW - did that ever turn out nicely! i think that episode won me over. i was in tears for the vast majority of the show. i agree for the most part it does skip a lot of the "training time" he must have to take on each dog to get them to respond so well, but i think the average viewer just wants to see the results. maybe if there only featured two dogs an episode you could see more. he does give lots of helpful tips along the way, i've learned a few tips. you can really tell how much love he has for the dogs when you watch the episodes though. i really like that part. he bonds with them all so well. i'm still a Caesar girl. but i do hope they pick up a second season of dogs in the city. |

| I pretty much love all the shows about dogs! I only watched the first one of DITC and have DVR'd the others for a marathon session one day. That first one was fun but I didn't agree with how careless the trainer guy was with letting that little poodle actually get attacked. He seemed to rush that situation - but that is from that first show & weeks ago & perhaps my first impression was harsh. I think I have 6 episodes saved to watch and may just do my marathon this weekend. I LOVE seeing all of the dogs & love peeking into the lifestyles and problems of the owners and all that. Love seeing the pet accessories & the way people restyle their lives around their dogs! I would watch just about anything about dogs. Can't get enough TV or movies all about dogs!!! If you ever get the chance, watch the documentary miniseries "Dogs", produced years ago - in the early '90's by A&E. I think a guy named Jack Perkins introduced & spoke through each episode but can't recall his name for sure. It was just excellent - all about mankind's relationships with dogs - good & bad(but mostly good). It gave you such a fabulous peek at how humans relate to their dogs the world over. I think it was a 6-hour series. So well done.

| After reading this thread earlier today, I just watched two episodes. I really like it. The guy, Justin, gives alot of good tips on various training aspects. I like his calm training style because it isn't like Ceasar Milan's alpha dog theory of training. Off to watch another episode
