| I'm checking for an update as well. I pray that all is OK with Gabby, and hopefully she is home with you now.

| We just got home. She's still yet groggy from the surgery but she's coming around. She did very well though. The vet didn't call me because her heart rate and blood pressure was low and he didn't want to scare me. He knew I'd be there in a flash, no doubt, in his way. She's still not quite right. Not even close, in fact. She seems so out of it. Barely able to move at all. I guess that's to be expected, but I'm not letting her out of my sight for even a minute. She had 5 teeth pulled. 3 decidious baby teeth, 1 premolar and 1 incisor. The baby teeth had to go. The others were crowded since her mouth is so small and couldn't accommodate them. Aside from that, the spay went well. No stitches to worry about with laser. God I feel so bad for her. Poor thing. She looks so miserable.

| Keep her warm and keep waking her up every 15-20 minutes to get the anesthesia out of her system. Do you have Nutrical on hand?

| Oh, sweet little Gabby. Just watch her closely through the night & call the vet if you have any problems. My Jilly & Tibbe both were just jelly even the day after a procedure & slept so much. Neither wanted to eat or drink so I had to put some Nutrical & a bit of syringed water respectively in the side pocket of the mouth to be sure they had something for energy & some hydration. It's no fun going through watching one just lie there. It won't be too long before she is back to being her usual self.

| I missed your trip going, but I caught you coming home. I'm glad it is over for you both! She will be miserable tonight, but pain meds will help her sleep. She is very tiny, so I don't blame you for keeping a very close eye on her. I hope she has a good recovery.

She hasn't moved off my lap since I brought her home. But when her dad walked in, she jumped up to see him. I'm kinda feeling like chopped spinach here. I'd say liver, but she loves liver.

| I'm glad she's home and doing well. I wonder if the anesthesia was also different than Ahi's. She was wide awake when I picked her up and when we got home she ate and drank like normal. They said they gave her a shot for the pain that would last till the next day but it didn't make her grogy or anything. I wonder if different vets do different things. I never heard of a laser spay. I'm going to look it up. Now i'm curious why Ahi didn't get spayed that way.Hoping for a quick and speedy recovery for Gabby. *Hugs*

| laser is better because there's less pain, less risk of infection, less swelling and faster recovery. It does cost a bit more, but it's worth it.
