| Fireworks Does anyone have loud fireworks going off in their neighborhood until late in the night? I do!! I thought they were never going to stop last night. Rosy slept and didn't seem to be effected. I was though, kept me awake!

| no Its so hot and dry here that its become a safety issue and they have made it illegal for private citizens to set them off. I sure when it gets closer to the forth a few yahoos will do it anyway but it is normally fireworks crazy around here on the 4th and I dont think were gonna get that. They terrify Jewels

| We had fireworks Friday & last night - not in the neighborhood - but off at official functions. Tibbe isn't bothered by them, even when somebody skirts the law & you can hear a few set off nearby.

| They have been going off near here for the past few nights and I have been putting Libby's thundershirt on her each night. She is the only one that is scared and I feel so bad for her. I'll be glad when all the boom booms quit and Libby will be so glad too!

| I heard fireworks last night... and was pleasantly surprised that Jackson barely lifted his head and then laid back down!

| There were three sets of fire works in Halifax last night, and I missed them all lol. But yes they were very loud. I live in a heavily populated student area. So there are many yahoos who set off little ones after the main events. I wasn't home, for the big ones, but I know Harley doesn't mind them. However, you will notice my thread about sleeping with Harley for the first time, there were a few little fireworks that woke us up a few times right outside my door.

| We are now on our 7th major fire in the past month. There's been more than 19 fires in Utah this year alone because the conditions are so dry. There was no rain at all on record for the entire month of June. Last week, someone parked their car in an area with tall, dead grass and the town went up in flames, evacuating more than 900 homes and destroying several. As we speak, the town of Alpine, just up the mountain from me, is a blaze threatening the largest homes and most prestigious community in the state. We NEED a statewide ban on fireworks this year. Particularly arial fireworks.

| I have been hearing them for the past couple days around here... It's really dangerous because we live in a desert, and they are a huge fire hazard. They haven't been keeping us up though... I think I would be calling the police if people were firing off that many.

| I've been hearing fireworks (& seeing some ) going off every night this week. Thanks to the change in the law, Michigan can now sell the big bangers that go high in the air and it seems like people have been buying plenty of them. It's been kind of a good thing for us. ZoE was a little freaked out the first night we heard them, but now they don't bother her at all.
