We are now on our 7th major fire in the past month. There's been more than 19 fires in Utah this year alone because the conditions are so dry. There was no rain at all on record for the entire month of June. Last week, someone parked their car in an area with tall, dead grass and the town went up in flames, evacuating more than 900 homes and destroying several. As we speak, the town of Alpine, just up the mountain from me, is a blaze threatening the largest homes and most prestigious community in the state.
We NEED a statewide ban on fireworks this year. Particularly arial fireworks.
