| The little $#*\: wont shut up!! Huh, it's been a while since I've had a good online rant about poppet; must be teen angst stage 2! Well, it's 23:17 and she has been complaining on and off (but mostly on) for nearly an hour... Why you ask? Because a plastic bag in the neighbours yard spooked her when she was out for her 10 o'clock weewee. Kuki is curled up beside me as fed up with the grumbling as I am- we're just lucky she's given up the howling Anyone got a spare Valium?

| What form is her complaining taking? Howling? Was she howling out of fear or barking/howling while looking through the window as though she's trying to see the bag made her mad or irritated her & chew it out? Where is she now? Is she shaking/shivering/panting along with noise she is making? How did the bag spook her - just by lying there or did it blow into her? What did she do when the bag spooked her? Right after it did it, what did she - and you - do?

| LOL They do know how to carry on, don't they? Maybe take her back outside again. Maybe that nasty ol' bag stopped her from finishing her business

| I did make that sound more problematic than need be... She was mid wee and a breeze made the bag crackle; it did startle her but annoyed er more than scared... Normally I'd wait for her to investigate, then go about her business as usual, but as there was a 6ft fence in the way she jus stood barking. I had to take her inside incase she woke next doors baby. She was complaining by first barking, then howling at me in frustration for not letting her get the bag, now shes sleeping, but waking up tryig to chase something... And she did need to finish her wee- we noisily got that sorted 10mins after the breeze hit!

| Oh, I couldn't tell if she was scared but then your attitude kind of told me she was blessing out the whole world because that old bag scared her & now she's going to get it but good. Sounds like my Tibbe . If anything startles him like that - it seems to "get his goat" and boy, does he complain about it - for a long, long time if I don't stop him. Usually, I just let him bark it out as it seems to satisfy him so. Glad she told that old bag off!

| I know I would! And, boy, a terrier never forgets. She'll be looking for that bad bag for a while probably when she goes out - I know Tibbe would.

| We have driveway sensors at my house, and almost every AM the Boys answer the Paper Lady's delivery with barks that last almost 20 minutes later. I don't know why I seem to be doing my best sleeping right before the tirade begins! |
