| Vomiting because of Anger or Lonliness... We have 3 Yorkies and last week we left for vacation. We had our grandaughter come to the house and babysit the Yorkies. She said when we left, the middle girl, Fannie, would not go out and didn't even want to get up. We left on Monday and by Tuesday morn. Fannie was vomiting up blood. She was taken to the vet and he ran all kinds of test and could find nothing wrong with her. He gave her an antibiotic, rehydrated her on Tues and Tues night. He wanted to let her come home on Wed, so we just came on home. We picked her up on Wed. evening and other than tired from the ordeal she has been just fine since. Needless to say next time we leave Fannie will be with us. I just wondered if anyone else has had this happen to them??? |

| It sounds like Fannie had something far more serious than missing you guys- Throwing up blood is something to take serious. The vet didn’t find anything in her blood test?

| it could have been the stress of not being around you and she made herself ill over it. Next time you go away I recommend Bach flower remedies for destressing the pups all natural |

| thank you Teegy....I think we will just take Fannie with us. Scared me. Finally got blood out of the carpet with oxyclean. She's always been the one to want to be right with my husband or myself. Sleeps between us... |

| I wonder if dogs can get ulcers like humans when stressed?? It was my first thought. Also the throwing up because of anxiety.(which I know well...anxiety can make you nauseous) Glad she is better though and sorry about your shortened vacation.

| I don't know how common this is, but my cousins yorkie has had this problem during stressful situations, as well. Most recently when they brought their new baby home from the hospital. I know they take her to the vet to make sure everything is alright, but my cousin did mention this was the third time it has happened. As far as I know it has always been stress induced and she has always checked out healthy at the vet. Glad to hear your baby is ok now that your family is back home.
