| Floppy Ears and Long Tails ROCK! I love Yorkies, and when we first got Laney at 8 weeks old in May of 2011, I couldn't wait for her to be my cute little lap dog with pointy ears. Her mom, Luna, weighed in at 7 lbs, and dad, Jager, weighed in at 5 lbs. Well, she quickly surpassed both of her parents, and is a purebred Yorkie of 11 lbs, with floppy ears (although both of her parents' stood up) and her long tail. And she is beautiful. In my avatar, one ear was trying to come up, and it still will if she holds her head perfectly still. Anyone else out there have a Yorkie with floppy ears and a long tail?

| She's adorable I adore the long tails, but both of mine were cropped before I knew you could even get an uncropped tail on a Yorkie. I didn't know jack about Yorkies, actually, until I found this wonderful place There are lots of kiddos here with the floppy ears, I think they are so cute

| She is adorable. Some people are disappointed when their puppy turns out to be "too big" or some other attribute does not seem up to par. I'm glad you still love your little girl. There are too many who end up in the pound because their puppy did not live up to expectations. She really is a little sweetie. Welcome to YT. |

Thor's Human Donating Member | I would totally love it if Thor had his full tail! It's so cute when he wags his little nub, and I know more tail would just mean more cuteness! Tails are so expressive too. I also love floppy ears, though my favorite are up, with floppy tips.

| Tell me how I'm supposed to cut off this little dog's tail. I could never bring myself to do something like that. My wife and I named her Amber Waves after a character in my wife's favorite movie, Boogie Nights. I love her long tail and floppy ears. She wouldn't be my dog any other way. Also, she is now 9 years old and still has a black and tan coat. Only one other dog in the litter had floppy ears. The rest had the prick ears. And only one other dog in the litter has stayed black and tan. The rest turned grey (silver blue, whatever). These little differences are what makes her special, at least to me. And honestly, that's all that really matters. |
